Apple introduces iOS feature Android had for 15 years, letting users add blank spaces to home screen.
For the first time, iOS 18 will allow users to freely rearrange app icons on their home screens.
Users can create blank columns, empty rows, and open spaces between apps.
Icons will still be locked to a grid, similar to Android, but apps won't automatically move.
Android has had the ability to move icons to any location, leaving open spaces, since its inception.
iOS 18 marks a significant upgrade, possibly the biggest in Apple's history, according to Bloomberg.
iOS 18 expected to be announced at WWDC in June, potentially bringing RCS texting and Google's Gemini to iPhone.
